I’m super excited to report that our first production Scorpion e-bikes have arrived here in San Diego! We’re on track to get a larger shipment of Scorpions later this month. Some of our early backers should be receiving their new bikes in late February/early March. I had the chance to ride the production Scorpions with Juiced customers last week and wanted to share some of their feedback.
The new higher handlebars have been a really big hit! The modification was made to deliver a more comfortable (and safer!) ride for customers of varying heights.
“Like riding on a cloud”, said one of our demo riders in reference to the Scorpion’s front and rear suspension. It’s an incredibly smooth ride!
We’re also really excited about the Scorpion’s upgraded puncture-resistant tires, designed specifically for this e-bike. The tires are significantly thicker and more durable than traditional e-bike tires. We’ll have a dedicated post and video on the incredible performance of the tires in the next week or two.
We recently installed a tall seat prototype on the Scorpion. It adds about three inches to the seat height and allows the seat to hinge open for an extra storage compartment.
Quite a few of our Indiegogo backers have asked about how the coronavirus might impact Scorpion and HyperScorpion production. As with the entire global supply chain, our production schedule will be affected, but we don’t yet know how significant the impact may be. Unfortunately, we won’t have a more specific update on the schedule until the Chinese government provides authorization for factories to reopen. I’m hopeful that we’ll have more information to share later this month.
For all of our HyperScorpion backers, thank you for your patience as we finalize the amazing features on what will absolutely become the best bike we’ve ever created. Our team is currently working on a HyperScorpion update, with pictures and videos, and we look forward to sharing with you in the next couple of weeks.
If you haven’t already subscribed to our Youtube channel and don’t follow us on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook, please do! We plan on sharing additional updates, pictures and videos on all of our social channels throughout February and March.
